There is no other place in the world where you can see contrasts as stark as north of the Arctic Circle. This two-part documentary gives us a unique perspective on the polar day and night.

While in summer, the sun hardly sets here and transforms this frozen kingdom into a paradise, in winter it disappears entirely for several months. When darkness and cold engulf the landscape, life itself seemingly goes into slumber. Despite the extreme conditions, these places are also the natural habitat of several species of flora and fauna. The documentary gives us an opportunity to glimpse the marvellous world of northern Scandinavia and wonder about nature’s ability to react and adapt to difficult changes.
