Sometimes I feel like I am not a conservation researcher but an extinction accountant.
The ecologist Amaël Borzée has dedicated five years of his life to researching and conserving Chinese treefrogs (Dryophytes immaculatus). But with each passing year, their choral song fades. Night after night, Amaël, accompanied by the film director, dives into the quiet rice fields, listening intently and searching for survivors.
