Planet Soil
Healthy soil, healthy crops, healthy people. Is it as simple as it sounds? Soil contains 25% of the world's biodiversity.
Underground communities of roots, arthropods, fungi, bacteria and other living organisms ensure that the soil is healthy and full of nutrients. Farmers practising regenerative agriculture, owners of community gardens, academic researchers, and even kindergarten children are all trying to utilise and support the natural biodiversity of the soil. The film shows this diversity through underground footage, time-lapse photos, or the simple “digging” in the dirt and looking for earthworms.
