An opening speech for the exhibition of photographs of antelopes and other wild animals from the photography expedition.
The 7×7 Family expedition photography exhibition offers a glimpse into the little-known world of the West African savanna, namely Senegal’s Niokolo-Koba National Park. The photographs capture giant eland, the world’s largest antelope, along with its young, as well as African buffalo, common warthogs, Nile monitors, hippos, and hussar monkeys. The images reveal their behavior, social structures and interactions with other species. This multifaceted travel postcard also serves as a reminder of why protecting biodiversity is so crucial.
