High in the mountains lies a world of struggle for survival, a mate, or status. Animals – they’re just like us!
Europe breaks away from the traditional tropical landscapes of wildlife documentaries, turning its lens instead on the wildlife in our own backyard. The selected episode reveals the remarkable diversity of life at an altitude of around 4,000 meters. From their treetop kingdoms, Barbary macaques look down on the urban jungle, while far from the ski resorts, eagles and musk oxen fight for survival in a harsh landscape. Rare footage of European wildlife reveals the awe-inspiring beauty and harshness of our continent.
