If Pigs Could Talk
#Ethology #Bioacoustics# AI
What does the life of pigs look like in farms across Europe? This documentary presents the latest research trying to understand the “language” of pigs and find out if they can really talk. The unique combination of ethology, bioacoustics, and AI opens up new possibilities for understanding animals. The filmmakers, along with an interdisciplinary team, collect recordings from different farms. What’s preferable – a free range or an industrial hall? And how significant are other variables? The film reveals the emotional world of pigs through their grunts and challenges us to rethink our relationship with them.
