The festival’s closing ceremony with the presentation of awards to the winning films, a screening of a documentary about David Attenborough’s cameraman and a party – Party like a film star!
A fascinating natural spectacle takes place every year on the east coast of England. Hundreds of thousands of waders gather on coastal shallows, forming huge flocks. Their synchronized movements are disrupted by a single predator, the peregrine falcon. Cameraman Martin Dohrn sets out to follow this little-known phenomenon over time and capture its breathtaking dynamics. As time passes, his quest to understand the flock’s movements becomes intertwined with reflections on his own career (including his work with David Attenborough) and its approaching end.
