PSFF embarks on a journey through natural science documentaries."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The competition film selection for this year\u2019s Prague Science Film Fest is ready! Out of nearly 1,500 submissions, our program curators have selected the final sixteen films from across the globe. From 14 to 17 October, let\u2019s dive into the latest trends in capturing flora and fauna at the \u010cZU Campus in Prague.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>This year, for the first time, we used the festival\u2019s theme as a guiding principle while selecting the films. We wanted to highlight a core documentary subgenre \u2013 the natural science documentary \u2013 which runs through each of the competition entries,<\/em>\u201d said Zden\u011bk Rychtera, Head of Programming, discussing this year\u2019s competition selection. The films will take you among wolves, lead you on a voyage through the Antarctic, and let you experience the sounds of nature. Whether exploring biodiversity conservation or the aging of cheese, we\u2019re in for unforgettable visual experiences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this year\u2019s focus on wildlife, PSFF will showcase how animals and plants are portrayed, and how the relationship between humans and nature is documented, especially in the face of the climate crisis. Can we give nature the space it needs to heal?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best films will be honoured with awards, culminating in the Grand Prize, awarded jointly with our festival partner,<a href=\"https:\/\/afo.cz\"> AFO<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, pack your bags and get ready to venture into the wild on October 14!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Da
