Ivohiboro : The Lost Forest
Coming-of-age drama of aspiring scientists set against the backdrop of untouched rainforest and mountain ranges.
In the southeast of Madagascar, at 1,500 metres, lies Ivohiboro – one of the last virgin forests on the planet. To this pristine wilderness, American primatologist Dr. Patricia Wright leads a team of newly minted researchers on a thirty-day expedition.
For many of them, this is their first field experience, and the aim of the expedition is not simple: to find new species and try to understand the origins of the forest. From a scientific and ecological point of view, the site is interesting because it acts as a bank of biodiversity samples from all over Madagascar.
