Almost Human
#Technology #Philosophy #Essay
A tapestry of mankind, its dreams and fears, successes and transgressions. A film about the human condition shaped by modernity and technological progress. Almost Human blends interviews with scientists with an associative montage accompanied by the voiceover of Stephen Fry. In less than fifty minutes, it covers a multitude of topics, not striving for unachievable complexity. It provides food for thought on key issues ailing the world of today, which we can take as a warning, and leans more towards a melancholic reflection on the essence of human existence. Through myths, cultural allusions, and harmonic musical background, the documentary presents a testimony to mankind and its potential – both to create and destroy.
