The documentary follows a research team’s journey into the depths of the Amazon rainforest to find native tribes which use ayahuasca. According to the natives, this psychedelic plant has the ability to reveal an individual’s negative thoughts and help cleanse them. If this were true, ayahuasca could represent a breakthrough in the treatment of depressive disorders. The film is complemented by the stories of people struggling with depression and anxiety for which a conventional treatment does not work. The plant from Brazil brings them hope for a happier life.
