Sequoia – red giants towering over us

Forests radiate tranquillity. We visit them to escape and to find ourselves. We look up to the trees whether we want it or not, and that’s even more true for the redwoods. These giants count among the tallest and oldest trees on Earth and are the embodiment of nature’s resilience and wisdom. We may be totally oblivious and still appreciate them. This documentary tells their story – from birth to crises and regeneration. It gives voice to biologists, artists and the indigenous people – all connected in their desire to understand and protect these majestic titans
